Honeymoon Hotels In Positano

3 Top Positano Honeymoon Hotels

honeymoon hotels positano

Positano  is a popular place with honeymooners (as is the entire Amalfi coast). It gives you privacy, romance, incredible food, fantastic views and (if you want) a great base from which to explore the rest of the Amalfi Coast.

So it’s natural that a lot of people are looking for the best honeymoon hotels in Positano.

I’ve decided to list 3 of my top picks here (although there are MANY more) along with why I would choose them for a honeymoon.

Each one has distinct benefits – and it really depends on what you’re looking for as everyone is different. Enjoy!

#1 Villa Tre Ville

[ Full Review ]

Ville Tre Ville Positano ExteriorThis is the absolute luxury-on-luxury, ultimate, died-and-gone-to-heaven hotel. It was originally built to be the mega-villa of famous Italian filmmaker Franco Zeffirelli and boasts incredible views of Positano and the Amalfi Coast.

It’s situated just outside the main town of Positano with it’s own private beach (and water taxi to take you into Positano whenever you want).

The restaurant is only open to hotel guests and has no menu: you can choose to enjoy the day’s specials or just tell them what you’re looking for and they’ll make it for you. Much of the food is organic and comes from their own private gardens.

Celebrities who are rumored to have visited Villa Tre Ville include Brad and Angelina, Russell Crowe and Kate Moss.

Although it’s not cheap by any means, if you’re looking for privacy and ultimate luxury, this is it.

#2 Palazzo Murat

[ Full Review ]

Palazzo Murat ExteriorThis elegant 18th century building is one of the most famous hotels in Positano – and is situated in the heart of the town itself.

But the great thing is that you would never know you were close to the crowds of Positano once inside as it’s surrounded by lush gardens and a high wall.

The hotel is close to everything – including the beach and the famous Church of Santa Maria Assunta.

The 31 guest-rooms all open to balconies with views of either the town or the gardens. And the hotel staff takes special care to delight and accommodate their visitors – often offering complimentary boat tours along the Amalfi coast.

If you’re looking for romantic elegance in the heart of Positano, you really can’t go wrong with this hotel.

#3 Hotel Eden Roc

[ Full Review ]

eden roc hotel positanoIf you’re looking for luxury with million dollar views from your own private terrace, you’ll love the Eden Roc.

It’s situated higher up on the main road running through Positano – so you get incredible views of the town and the water down below from your balcony.

Some of the balconies also have hot tubs which adds some romance – and the rooftop restaurant has panoramic views of Positano for even more romance.

The buffet breakfast included in your stay is one of the best in Positano and there’s also a pool where you can relax with a drink and get away from it all.

Another benefit to this hotel is that, since you’re on the main road, it’s a great choice if you’re driving yourself – or plan to see the other towns by car while in Positano. It’s also close to the main SITA bus stop so you can easily visit the other towns by bus (cheaper than the ferry boats).
